10 Best Green Jobs

Due to large investments on clean energy, industries all over the world are embracing green jobs. Green jobs or green collar jobs are services that concentrate on preserving the environment. This includes jobs that help to reduce energy consumption through high efficiency strategies, minimize or avoid generation of all forms of waste and pollution [1].

Here is a list of green jobs that experts believe to be the next big hit in the industry. According to Anya Kamenetz on her article Ten Best Green Jobs for the Next Decade, These jobs provide high salary, in demand (accounts for some millions of jobs globally), and just the fact that these jobs help the environment is very rewarding.

1. Urban Planner - They formulates plans for the development and management of urban and suburban areas for the purpose of optimizing the effectiveness of a community's land use and infrastructure.

2. Sustainability Systems Developer - They consists of specialized software developers and engineers who design, build, and maintain the networks of sensors on wind farms, smart energy grids, other systems that conserves our natural resources.

3. Green MBA and Entrepreneur - This includes marketing, business services like legal, research and consulting on green products and technologies

4. Solar Power Installer - Installing solar-thermal water heaters and rooftop photovoltaic cells is a relatively high-paying job outside the country.

5. Energy Efficiency Builder – They consists of skilled architects, engineers and a workforce of retrofitters who can design and build efficient buildings
