
When we first hear "green technology", the things that come to our mind are solar panels, wind generators, alternative energy, and products that minimize our carbon footprints. So what is the definition of "green technology"?
Green technology (abbreviated as greentech) also known as Environmental technology(abbreviated as envirotech) or clean technology (abbreviated as cleantech) is the application of the environmental science to conserve the natural environment and resources, and to curb the negative impacts of human involvement.Sustainable development is the core of environmental technologies. According to http://www.green-technology.org, "green technology" encompasses a continuously evolving group of methods and materials, from techniques for generating energy to non-toxic cleaning products. Examples of green technology are: green building, environmentally preferred purchasing, green chemistry, and green nanotechnology.
